my AFK exists to support disabled children and young people to live the life they want - just like everyone else.
We do this by working with students aged 14 to 19 who have special educational needs, introducing them to the world of work and preparing them for life beyond school.
For students no longer in full time education, we teach practical life and work skills, including travel training, money managemen and how to access support. We also have full time job coaches who organise training and job placements with the aim of supporting young people into paid work.
Our national mobility project provides any kind of mobility equipment not available on the NHS for children and young people up to the age 25.
